Come celebrate All Hallows Eve with Fikira Bakery and foodeveryonedeserves! We'll be at Franny Lou's Porch making Sunbutter Cups and Honey Drops. Every attendant will take home candy they made and packaged on site, safe to hand out on the 31st. Families ages 5+ welcome! The chocolates keep well in the freezer, and the honey drops double as natural cough drops in winter months. #WitchySelfCare.
Snacks and music provided for our time in the kitchen together, and packaging includes super cute halloween stickers! Tickets are Pay What You Will for both workshop dates:
Friday, October 13th: 6-8pm
Sunday, October 29th: 3:30-5pm
Our workshop is a Safer Space, welcoming our many identities and leaving bigotry at the door. You will leave our workshop if you harass or disrespect anyone in our space.
A note from Al: Hallowe'en is my favorite holiday, it's a day that seems to touch everything with magic and lore. Handing out chemical junk on such a special occasion doesn't feel right, but who can afford the alternative? It's the goal of this workshop to make alternative, delightful candies accessible to more Philly neighbors--and Philly kids!
