ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Kamand is Seattle's only traditional Iranian music ensemble.  Their repertoire ranges from regional folk music to classical compositions. Since 2003, Kamand has been invited to contribute their music to diverse community events, including the Northwest Folklife Festival, the Portland Iranian Festival, numerous benefits, and the Folklife in the Schools K-12 educational program. Kamand dedicates every performance to increasing multicultural awareness and building relationships of respect and appreciation within the community.

Sin Fronteras, "without borders," is a six-member, Seattle-based ensemble that interprets songs from across Central & South America and the Caribbean.  They draw heavily from the Nueva Cancion movement with a fusion of Andean instrumentation, vocal harmony, Chilean and Argentinean composers, and Middle Eastern percussion.  They are committed to unity among all peoples of the Americas and beyond.
