Tea & Empathy for Lovers, hosted by sex and relationship coach Dawn Serra
Relationships take practice, and yet we aren't ever really taught the skills we need to thrive in relationship over the long-term, especially as we change, grow, & confront life together.
How do we stay connected? How can we maintain that sense of caring & interest after years or decades together? What do we say when our partner is having a tough time? How can we help each other feel seen & heard around the tenderest bits? (And for some of us: why doesn't my partner take my advice when I offer it?)
This fun, interactive workshop will give you a playful, safe, connected space to learn all about practical, simple communication tools that can help you do all of these things well.
Based on Kate McCombs' original Tea & Empathy workshop, you'll learn some basics about what empathy is, what it isn't, and how it can transform the way you connect with the people you care about.
And then, the fun part - you and your sweetheart(s) will have loads of time to practice some new skills around naming feelings, empathetic inquiry, holding space like a champ, and connecting in tender ways. Participants often comment that after the activity, they feel recharged, understood, and empowered.
Your host, Dawn Serra, will offer a number of small exercises that will set everyone up for success, so that you leave feeling like you have some new tools in your handy-dandy relationship toolbox.
