Thank you for attending the 2008 Civic Awards hosted by The Municipal League of King County. We hope that you enjoyed your evening. If you are interested in joining us this spring and summer in evaluating candidates running for local office through our Candidate Evaluation Committees, please contact our office. 2008 Civic Awards
The Municipal League is honoring seven individuals and one organization to receive its 49th annual Civic Awards for outstanding contributions to the community. Come mingle with the awardees, elected and public officials, and supporters of good government while enjoying the sweeping views from the Olympic Sculpture Park.

The 2008 awardees are:
* Lisa Macfarlane, Citizen of the Year
* Connie Marshall, Public Official of the Year
* Dwight Dively, Public Employee of the Year
* Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, Organization of the Year
* David Postman, Governmental News Reporting of the Year
* John Stanton and Norm Rice, James R. Ellis Regional Leadership
* Sandra Driscoll, Mary Skelton Memorial Volunteer

Beyond honoring our great awardees, the evenings line up includes popular news anchor and host of KCTSs About the Money, Christine Chen, as the MC as well as a series of prominent public officials to introduce our awardees:

-- Seattle Mayor Nickels to introduce Dwight Dively
-- Bellevue Mayor Degginger to introduce Connie Marshall
-- Councilwoman Jean Godden to introduce the Urban League
-- Dean of the UW Evans School, Sandra Archibald, to introduce Norm Rice and John Stanton

This year's ceremony will be held at the Seattle Art Museum's Olympic Sculpture Park (2901 Western Avenue, Seattle) in the PACCAR Pavilion on April 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. with a VIP reception beginning at 5:30 p.m.
