Parallel 01 Uri Caine + ensemble (US/Canada)
Kicking off the new Parallels series, Parallel 01 presents acclaimed New York-based pianist Uri Caine performing original compositions and improvisations in concert with an acoustic ensemble, and members of the Vancouver Electronic Ensemble.
In advance of the concert, a 2-day open rehearsal will take place on November 23 and 24 from 6-10PM. The open rehearsal is FREE to attend, but as space is limited, participants are required to register in advance. Please email info@newmusic.org for more information or to register.
Parallels is a multi-organizational initiative that invites artists and community members to come together to share their interests, talents, ideas and creativity in a series that celebrates collaboration and improvisation.
