Ellis Paul family show
Youngstown Cultural Arts Center seattle, WA
This Time Concerts is pleased to present Ellis Paul in a special afternoon family show at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in Seattle WA.
Ellis will perform songs from his latest release "The Dragonfly Races," a family album comprised of tunes he wrote for his children. Catherine P. Lewis of The Washington Post says, "The Dragonfly Races" may look and feel like a children's record, but it sounds like a record for people who have children: It's a collection of songs whose bounciness and subject matter are kid-friendly but whose content is sophisticated enough for adults. Paul's songs seem like fairy tales set to music...."
Ellis will do a 45-minute afternoon set. He will also perform a full show with special guest Antje Duvekot beginning at 7:30 pm.
Says Ellis in a recent interview, "That's my goal - to do two shows a day, preferably in the same venue. Then adults who like me can bring their kids in the afternoon, take them home, get a babysitter and come back and see me again at night doing my other material."
Note: Ellis will perform a 45-minute set. Doors at 12:30.
