Maurice Durufle: The Complete Choral Works
Maurice Durufle's music has been described as "an eclectic mixture of plainsong, Renaissance polyphony, the organ textures of fellow French composers Tournemire and Vierne, and the impressionistic harmonies of Debussy and Ravel."
This is music of supreme craftsmanship and timeless beauty. Ars Nova will present his complete catalogue of choral works: his beloved Requiem; the exquisite Four Motets, the rarely-performed "Messe Cum jobilo" for mens' voices; and the beautiful motet Notre Pere.
