A Family Christmas Play for everyone!
Playing Christmas Every Christmas for the past eight years, Joe Douglas and his family have been falling further apart. This year Joe's business is failing, hes on the brink of divorce, and the only thing his children are agreeing on is just how messed up their family is. Meanwhile the devil himself makes a bet that he can keep Joe from seeking God this holiday season. Peer into the unseen realm of angels and demons clashing for the very souls of man. Will Joe open his eyes as well, or will he spend yet another year just playing Christmas? Playing Christmas is the second family Christmas play directed by and starring Burbank residents Chris Chloupek and Daniel Drew, this year joining with acting coach and fellow Burbankian Karen Bowden. Playing Christmas will be featuring amazing vocal and original dance performances suitable to a family audience, and is open to the public December 9th at 5:00 pm in Hollywood's own Tinsel Town event center at 6655 Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood CA. A $5 donation is suggested, there will be concessions, call (323) 271-0217 for reservations. There will be a second showing of Playing Christmas as part of a Christian holiday worship service at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel 711 South Hope Street on Sunday December 16th at 10:00 am. Please call for reservations. Photo: Daniel Drew (left) and Chris Chloupek (right) are no strangers to innovative holiday productions, as seen in last years Christmas play A Miracle in Prison.
