L'Innovation! French Classics by Request
At the turn of the 20th Century, France was the epicentre for musical innovation as artists sought to break away from the time-honoured traditions of the past. In this pursuit, composers discovered sounds that had never before been heard; Debussy went so far as to arrange the piano works of Satie for orchestra. Through a similar process, Geeta Das, Stefan Nazarevich and Barry Tan will present new and unique arrangements of the favourite French music that you choose through our survey process. For an added delight, the trio will premiere a new piece by Stefan Nazarevich himself.
To vote (1 piece/set) please fill out the survey at www.placedesarts.ca between Sep 1 & Nov 19!
