Taste of Terra Madre Italian Dinner at Silvio's Organic Ristorante on Dec. 10, 2012 - SOLD OUT
Terra Madre is an international Slow Food conference held every 2 years in Turin, Italy that brings together thousands of people from across the world who "support sustainable agriculture, fishing, and breeding with the goal of preserving taste and biodiversity." Celebrating Terra Madre Day on December 10th, Silvio Medoro recreates a show-stopping Italian Piedmont dinner that Michigan's 2012 Terra Madre delegation will never forget.
One of the main highlights of the 2012 Terra Madre trip was a visit to talk with local winemaker Gianni Bertolini of Tenuta Olim Bauda in Incisa Scapaccino. After a tour of the vineyard and winemaking facilities, Gianni treated us to one of the best meals any of us had ever experienced.
On December 10, International Terra Madre Day, Silvio will recreate highlights of that meal at his restaurant, featuring traditional Italian recipes, food from our local farms and the same Olim Bauda wines that we drank.

Filetto di Maiale con Ripieno di Rape (Roasted pork loin stuffed with rapini)
