About the Meisner Technique: The Meisner Technique emphasizes the importance of truthful acting on the stage and screen. Sanford Meisner, who became well known for his long list of famous acting students, created a foundational exercise for actors called "repetition". Meisner described it as, "an exercise for actors where there is no intellectuality. I wanted to eliminate all the 'head' work, and take away the manipulation and get to where the source of all organic creativity comes from, your impulses." The Meisner Technique habitually develops the actor's natural ability to "live truthfully under imaginary circumstances."
