Underground Tacoma Flashlight Tour
Are you fascinated by the urban legend of the Chinese Tunnels?
Do you have memories of the Neverland Characters from Point Defiance when you were a kid?
Are you curious about the underground sidewalks? Did you know that in January they will be filled in by the city and never seen again?
Are you interested in Tacoma history?
On the night of the Christmas Tree Lighting downtown Tacoma and the Gritty City Gift Fair, we (the organizers of Tacoma ART BUS) will be taking small groups of people on walking tours of some of Tacoma's most mysterious places.
Participants will be asked to wear a hard hat and sign a release of liability. You must be able to handle walking up and down stairs. This is a walking tour so dress appropriately for the weather.
NOTE: One stop on this tour is not kid-friendly. I will not prevent kids from coming because they will be able to participate in almost everything but when we go to see the Chinese Tunnel entrance they will not be able to go inside because the staircase to the basement is inside a bar. Those with kids will have to wait outside for about 20 minutes. (There is a restaurant a couple doors down you could wait inside if its too cold or rainy). If you don't mind doing that then we have a deal! :)
THIS JUST IN: Old City Hall will NOT be a part of this tour. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. You may get a refund from Brown Paper Tickets if not seeing Old City Hall ruins the tour for you and you already purchased a ticket.
