LOCAL Impressions

LOCAL is an exemplary show to represent individuals with Down Syndrome in the area of the performing arts. The ensemble is celebrated for their musicality, inspirational impact, and unique ability to shape the culture of their community one step at a time.

This unique collaboration unites some of Memphis most talented artists working with the dynamic and impressive dancers of Company d.Guest choreographers include: Amanda and Jerry Gonzales, Project Motion'sWayne Smith, Collage Dance Collective's Kevin Thomas, and Mississippi Arts Commission's Patty Carreras. Artists commissioned work in the area of dance, theatre, and visual arts will be presented.

The show concept Impressions is based on selected works of art created by local visual artists Paul Edelstein, Jay Etkin, Michael Maness, and Ron Olson. Their work is the inspiration for choreography and vignettes performed by the Company d dancers.
