Description
13TH ANNUAL SEATTLE JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL

JELLYFISH (Meduzot)
MOHAI: Saturday, April 12th, 9:30 PM
(Israel, 2007, 78 min, French/German/Hebrew/Tagalog)
Directors: Shira Geffen, Etgar Keret

Topics: Women, Israel, Relationships, Art Film

Poignant, often witty and exceedingly dramatic, Jellyfish tells the story of three very different Tel Aviv women whose intersecting stories weave an unlikely portrait of modern Israeli life. Co-directors and husband and wife team, Etgar Keret and Shira Geffen, are popular Israeli writers. Jellyfish, their first feature-length film won the prestigious Camera d'Or for Best First Feature at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

SHMULI'S DREAM (short)
(U.S.A., 2007, 3 min, English)
Director(s): J. Baab with Eli Rosenblatt and David Bestock
Local Seattle Filmmakers/Producers J. Baab, Eli Rosenblatt and David Bestock will attend the film's World premiere at SJFF.

Shmuli dreams that his apartment is overrun by klezmer musicians. As he goes about his morning routine, accordians and clarinets pour into his tiny apartment - from the bathtub to the fridge. A whimsical story about Jewish roots showing up where you least expect them. This is the World Premier of this collaboration between three Seattle friends, all of whom will attend the screening.
