Opera Five is poised, and ready to indulge your taste senses and treat you to an evening of three one act operas:
Hin und zurück (Paul Hindemith) - when a husband returns home on his wife's birthday and discovers she is having an affair, the situation turns fatal. Could there have been a happier ending for this pair?
Aleko (Sergei Rachmaninoff) Experience the first opera by this amazing Russian composer. Love, scandal, and murder are a common theme in any opera, and that certainly hold true here. Can the poor Aleko ever escape the torments of life?
Talk Opera (Milton Granger) American composer, Milton Granger, explores the aftermath of the events of Rigoletto, and what better way to do so than on the smutty talk show, Cookie Time!
Each opera is served with a food sampling, so come hungry!
