In Defense of Food Introduced By Joan Gussow (panel and refreshments to follow)
This absorbing film by New York Times bestselling author Michael Pollan shows the pleasures of eating, the risks of diet-related diseases, and the value of eating healthy foods. The film is based on Pollan's 2008 book of the same title which in turn was inspired by the work of writer and Piermont resident, Joan Gussow.
A panel with Writer/Scholar Joan Gussow and Cropsey Community Farm Manager Pearl Wetherall will follow the film.
