Beekeeping Seminar and Honey Tasting
Saturday, April 8, 2017 @ Sonoma Garden Park, 19996 7th Street East, Sonoma 10am 12pm (plus an optional 12pm - 1pm hive inspection)
Join local beekeeper Bill Wiebalk as he discusses:
- The benefits of keeping bees without the use of pesticides - How a bee colony operates - Equipment needed to keep bees - How to harvest surplus honey
To appreciate the taste and quality of honey produced without pesticides, a honey tasting will follow the discussion.
12pm 1pm (optional) Stay after the seminar to watch Bill perform a brief inspection of the hives. If you plan to stay for this portion of the seminar, please wear long pants, socks, close-toed shoes, and a light-colored long sleeve shirt. We will provide you with a veil and gloves.
