Welcome to the registration page of the San Diego Classical Mandolin Camp, directed by classical mandolinist, and educator, Chris Acquavella. The SDCMC will explore the depth and breadth of the classical mandolin, from baroque to modern times, through 4 days of intensive classes, rehearsals, and concerts. This years invited guest instructor will be the very talented Mari Fe Pavón from Europe. Our camp will take place from July 30st to August 4th at the beautiful Kona Kai Resort on Shelter Island in sunny San Diego.
Chris and Mari Fe are both fantastic teachers and performers. They will lead you through a well thought out curriculum of the classical mandolin's technique and repertoire. Each night there will be a different concert, culminating in an en masse orchestra performance by the students on the final night.
The week will start on Tuesday evening, 7/30 at 6:00PM, for a meet and greet. Classes start Wednesday, 7/31 at 10:00 AM, and run through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with evening concerts starting at 8:00 PM. It will be a very full and rewarding week!!!
