Phillip-Michael Scales is a gifted songwriter who happens to be the nephew of BB King. His sound fits snuggly between folk and soul; demonstrating his knack for thoughtful, catchy melodies. It's no surprise in 2013, he won an International Songwriting Award.
Tom Schraeder has toured all over playing, CMJ, Lollapalooza and SXSW but perhaps his most impressive feat has been releasing 22 albums of original music under his own name and various other projects. He founded and curated Chicago, I Love You the Second City's only free multimedia art festival, featuring over 500 musicians, filmmakers, painters, sculptors, dancers, cinematographers and writers.
