MAKING TROUBLE (US 2007, 85 min, directed by Rachel Talbot) This not-to-be missed irresistible documentary, produced by the Jewish Women's Archive, profiles six great female comic entertainers: Molly Picon, Fanny Brice, Sophie Tucker, Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner and Wendy Wasserstein. Jewish comediennes Judy Gold, Cory Kahaney, Jackie Hoffman and Jessica Kirson play peanut gallery, commenting and schmoozing over lunch at Katz's Deli in New York City. They discuss what it means to be Jewish, female and funny. Ms. Gold will then participate in post-film discussion with the audience and film producers from the Jewish Women's Archive.
