| Description |
The Berkeley High School Jazz Program will be holding our Silent Auction and Concert on March 16, 2008 from 3:00-6:00 pm. This event is one of the biggest fund raisers of the year for BHS Jazz. We are a parent run nonprofit organization connected with Berkeley High School. There are 3 Jazz bands at BHS and our program goes beyond the classroom in that we participate in many festivals and community events throughout the school year. The Jazz Ensemble just got back from a tour in Japan this past summer and is planning a European tour in the summer of 2009. All this enriches our students but also costs money that the school district does not provide .
The Silent Auction will be an opportunity to hear the talent of our musicians in Lab Band II and the award winning Jazz Ensemble as well as our combos and you will have the chance to bid on exciting auction items as well. The items range from a ski weekend away for 4 to a beautiful handmade quilt to dinners out and bottles of wines. We will be serving appetizers, wine and assorted delicious desserts.
