No final show means the Improv Master Class is designed with to push you. Rehearsing for shows is part of, but not a substitute for, working toward personal mastery, because you still have those fallback characters and voices. That one good emotion, and the two fake, but funny ones. You have those ways you always heighten. That role you avoid. Not anymore! In this class you'll become aware of your habits (strong and weak) so that you can improvise with more choice and ability. Course content includes a exploration of the latest improv methods from top teams and instructors nationwide and beyond. Constant individual feedback and homework will replace your bad habits with intentional technique. From pre-show warm-up to post-show analysis, you will be challenged and supported to become more of the improviser you have always wanted to be. As an individually-focused class, there is no graduation show. Every show you do afterwards will be a graduation show!
Prerequisite: Level 3, sufficient improv experience, or by instructor permission/audition.
Class meets from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Saturday.
Class enrollment is limited to 10 students.
