Where do short-form games end and long-form scenes begin? It's a trick question. The silliest game is also a scene, and even the most dramatic and theatrical scenes have patterns that could be made into games. Beginning with reexamining so-called 'short' games like Alphabet and Four Square, and moving on to performance-ready advanced improv games like Theme, Lifetime, Decision, Monologues Only, Typewriter, La Ronde, and Instant Movie, you'll be playing while learning the skills to stage stronger and longer scenes with more patience and less hesitation, greater awareness, confidence, and range. The audience will be so absorbed they'll forget you're even playing a game! Hit the stage at the end of your classes with another fun graduation performance.
Prerequisite: For Level 1 or 2 graduates, sufficient improv experience, or by permission of the instructors.
Class meets from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday.
Class enrollment is limited to 12 students.
