NOFA/Mass Organic Lawn & Turf Day
The NOFA/Mass Organic Land Care Program is pleased to present this one-day intensive workshop on organic turf management. Organic lawn care is the fastest-growing sector of the green industryand the NOFA Organic Land Care Program has been a pioneer in sustainable, chemical free land management for over a decade, setting industry standards (hyperlink: http://www.organiclandcare.net/accreditation/standards), publishing resources (hyperlink http://www.organiclandcare.net/store/publications), and providing training programs and professional accreditation (hyperlink: http://www.organiclandcare.net/accreditation/about-accreditation)
The 2012 Organic Lawn and Turf Day begins with an overview of the cultural practices for establishing a successful organic turf system, and then moves into a more in-depth look at technical specifics of fertilization and product inputs. We will close out the day with a discussion of the direction of the organic lawn care market, and a Q&A with a panel of Accredited Organic Land Care Professionals currently offering lawn care services.
This workshop is perfect for the conventional lawn service provider seeking to expand his business by offering an organic program, for the municipal or campus land manager working to create safer playgrounds for kids and families, and for the experienced AOLCP seeking to refine her knowledge of lawn and turfgrass systems.
