Meet the Sex Therapist who inspired the film "The Sessions"
Learn the back story of "The Sessions" at this special event with Cheryl Cohen Green, The Works' ex-President and Berkeley sex therapist whose sessions with a quadriplegic client inspired the new hit film. Helen Hunt plays Cheryl, and John Hawkes portrays Mark O'Brien, a disabled poet and journalist who hires Cheryl as a surrogate sex partner. Winner of the Audience Award at Sundance, and given a 93% critics' ranking by Rotten Tomatoes, "The Sessions" opens at the California Theater, Berkeley, on Friday, November 2. Whether or not you have seen the film, you are sure to enjoy hearing Cheryl, who has a doctorate in human sexuality, talk candidly about her long-time career. Actor Earll Kingston, another founding member of The Works Cooperative, will interview Cheryl and moderate a Q & A. Light hors' d'oeuvres are included in ticket price. All proceeds will benefit the Works Studio. The event is wheelchair accessable.
ONLINE TICKETING IS CLOSED BUT TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR.
