Singer, songwriter and guitarist RICK SHEA, www.rickshea.com, returns to Oahu for two performances.
Shea has honed his skills in the honky-tonks, roadhouses and truck stops of Central California. His style is a blend of Merle Haggard and Neil Young, fused with the drive of the Flying Burrito Brothers. Evoking contemporaries such as Dwight Yoakam and Gram Parsons.
Rick is a deeply evocative singer and a formidable guitarist who has worked worked with roots-rock kingpin Dave Alvin as second guitarist in the Guilty Men, chanteuse Katy Moffatt and indie rockers R.E.M. His latest outfit is a norteno-rock band, Tremeloco.
His previous Oahu appearances have had folks singing along with his story like tales and taking to the dance floor with his "boomer-rock" guitar numbers.
