SIMS Celebrates Women in 2012 SIMS is rolling out new services for women musicians in 2012, including a weekly support group for partners of musicians and the first annual Women's Mental Wellness Conference. The chaotic nature of the music business can create a unique set of stressors for musicians and the people who love them. Touring, working nights, and insecure finances put a strain on the entire family unit. Women musicians often report feelings of isolation and frustration while navigating the still male dominated music industry.
