Zombies and monsters are afoot this Halloween season, but nothing is scarier than a derby girl with something to prove! On October 27 th, Tucson Roller Derby is back with the second home game of Season 10 and the 3 rd annual Arizona State Conference. In a battle to rival Freddy vs. Jason, your home team Furious Truckstop Waitresses will be fighting for a win against the ladies from Dirty Verde Roller Derby out of Cottonwood, AZ.
Not only will you get to see some amazing feats of athleticism and booty shorts, but a ticket into the game will also grant you access to the after party at the Wreckhouse! Our charity of the month, Attorneys Benefiting Children, is hosting a fantastic Halloween bash, with half of the party's proceeds going to the Open Inn. Open Inn's mission is to empower children, youth and families to experience and develop positive self-worth. This is accomplished through a comprehensive array of services and activities designed to support young people as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficient adulthood. Wear your costume to the game, and stay and mingle for a good cause afterwards. Prizes will be given for sexiest, scariest, funniest, best couple, and best group, so get creative! After 10pm the party will be open to ages 21+. If you don't mind missing out on all the hard hitting action, entrance to the Halloween Party is only $10.
TRD will also be holding a "bra toss" during half time. Ladies (and gentleman!) please bring a new or gently used bra to donate to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Wear your bra over your costume!
Season 10 is just getting started, and the 3rd Arizona State Conference is underway. Come check out our new warehouse, have a drink, and grab some grub from Smokin' Hot BBQ, Mike's Roadside Café, and Pinup Pastries! Will the Waitresses come back from the dead after their recent loss, hungry for blood? Or will the girls from Dirty Verde come into Tucson with more tricks under their skirts than the Jigsaw killer?
