44 PLAYS FOR 44 PRESIDENTS is a 2-hour play comprised of biographical sketches of forty-four of the most influential and famous (or infamous) Americans of all time. By turns hysterical, musical, tragical, and farcical, this play parades our history before us in a pageant of the best and worst that America has to offer. Written by current and former Chicago Neo-Futurists in the high-energy fast-paced style of their long-running hit TOO MUCH LIGHT MAKES THE BABY GO BLIND, 44 PLAYS FOR 44 PRESIDENTS embraces a melting pot of theatrical styles as it tells the story of this country through the lives of the men who (for better or for worse) have led us to where we are today, at our national moment of choice. All performances followed by FREE post-show talk backs, featuring performers and local scholars and historians. Also, there's a bar!
