- Help us raise funds for several small mandated renovation projects.
The blues band "Old Dog & the New Tricks" sets the stage for the Crown Hill Project's First Annual Fundraiser. Enjoy delicious complimentary appetizers from Honey, I'm Home Catering and beer and wine from the cash bar. Local columnist Peggy Sturdivant will be our keynote speaker at 8pm. 21 and older, please. Wine Cellar Raffle:
Are you a fan of wine? Purchase your $20 wine raffle ticket at the door, or in advance, for a chance to win an instant wine cellar of more than 100 bottles of wine. Also included are a wine rack and a rabbit ear wine opener. Need not be present to win. Raffle tickets are available at the Small Faces office at 9250 14th Ave NW or from any member of the Crown Hill Project Working Group.
Child Care:
Child care is available by advance reservation by calling Small Faces at (206) 782-2611. Kid-friendly activities and snacks will be provided.
Background:
The Crown Hill Project is a community-wide, multi-year effort to purchase our property (a surplus school) from the Seattle School District. A wide range of organizations and groups live in and use the Crown Hill site, including Small Faces Child Development Center, ARC Ballet, Taj Yoga, Flamenco Gitana, youth soccer and baseball, the Crown Hill Neighborhood Association, the Crown Hill Business Association, and many others! The project is an opportunity to acquire open space, as well as a building for arts, education and community space, and to secure the building for continued community use and benefit.
