Human Nature
Human Nature, the eclectic East Bay jazz sextet, brings its unique blend of jazz to Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda on Saturday November 3rd.
Human Nature's sound blends contemporary jazz with rock, funk and R&B offered with a performance vibe that delights both non-jazz listeners and jazz aficianados alike.
Their original tunes are lyrical, melodic, thoughtful and funky. Simply put, Human Nature's music is refreshingly eclectic. Tim Wat, the band's founder and principal composer, insists that despite the wide range of elements Human Nature blends together, it's all jazz. Wat notes, "We want to challenge some notions of what the genre is. Jazz isn't stuck in the '50s. It's not just for academics. Jazz is for real people - as we like to say, Jazzit's only human."
