Puccini, Argento, Rutter
The ROS celebrates the opening of its 68th season with an energetic program that is in turn operatic, spiritual, driving and reflective. The Gloria in Excelsis Deo text runs throughout the program, in settings by today's working composers and in the moving and romantic masterpiece by Puccini.
Baritone, Mario Martinez, and Tenor, Grant Knox lend a special element of power and grace to these works. The Webster High School choir makes its ROS debut under the direction of Brenda Nitsch.
Concert underwriting is generously provided by the Friends of Mary Lou Stotz, in tribute to a life of love, service and generosity.
