John Craigie with Cygne
John Craigie:

If John Prine and Mitch Hedberg had a baby, the resulting product would resemble something very close to Portland, OR singer-songwriter John Craigie. Musically comparable to Prine, with the humor and wit of Hedberg, the humble, gracious, and hilarious Craigie is one of the best storytellers of our time. Its no wonder that Chuck Norris sends him fan mail, and Todd Snider brings him gifts on stage.

The vagabond troubadour has charmed audiences in all 50 states and throughout much of Europe, with a DIY spirit seldom seen these days. While touring solo and with the likes of Todd Snider, the Shook Twins, Nicki Bluhm, and ALO, Craigie has taken the stage at festivals, sold out venues, intimate house concerts, center camp at Burning Man and even Gregory Alan Isakovs farm. Although based in Portland, Craigies true home is on the road, and just like that hes on to the next town, playing and singing and telling stories to everyone who wants to listen

Hell make you laugh and make you cry, all in the same song. With a fan-base that is more of a continually-expanding circle of friends, John Craigies true passion is connecting with people through shared experiences, stories, and song.

Cygne:

After ten years of studying classical violin Cygne found her voice writing and performing original songs in New York City. Upon graduation she embarked on her first solo European tour, fearlessly embracing the uncertain path of an independent musician. When she returned to the US she moved into her car and by summer she was performing on the Telluride Bluegrass and Rocky Mountain Folks Festival main stages.

In the 250,000 miles and 1000+ performances since, Cygne's passion has translated to audiences from small clubs in the Czech Republic to large US & Swiss festivals. Like a friend who alternately comforts, entertains, and probes, she greets us with the ease and authenticity of someone who has spent a lifetime turning strangers into family.

Written in response to her experience in Europe during the refugee crisis and terrorist attacks of 2015 and 2016, Cygne's new album Let It Breathe (February 3, 2017) provides hope and inspiration for challenging times. Cygne worked with producer Steve Rossiter at Axis Sound in New York City to create what has been unanimously declared their finest collaboration. Tune in as she enchants with thought-provoking songs and stories from the road.
