"THE WAR AROUND US", "One Minute ", "The Other Side", and "No More Shooting and Crying"
FEATURE:  "THE WAR AROUND US"  Director: Abdallah Omeish

In the winter of 2008 Ayman Mohyeldin was the only American living in the Gaza Strip. When the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was broken and the first bomb dropped on Gaza, Mohyeldin and fellow journalist and friend Sherine Tadros found themselves the only Western reporters there to capture it.

This film chronicles the bonds of friendships under stress, the ethics of journalism in conflict and above all, the resilience of humans during war.

With never-before-seen footage and testimonies reported from one of the most dangerous places on earth, the film bears witness to how Gaza powerfully changed them forever.

A poignant film from Abdullah Omeish, a returning Artivist Award Winning human rights filmmaker.

SHORTS:

"One Minute"   Director:  Dutch Merrick

The shortest film about our longest war!  In an era when the merits of unfettered Capitalism are in question, banks are running with the national treasury and the US is increasingly mired in wars overseas, it is time to ask how we got into this mess.

"The Other Side"    Director: Khen Shalem

A simple soccer ball sparks an unusual friendship between two young boys on either side of the Israeli and Palestinian separation wall. Can this wordless and unseen relationship overcome the wall's towering presence?

"No More Shooting and Crying"   Director: David Zlutnick

Former Israeli soldiers reflect on their service and reintegration into society following their experiences serving in the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.
