Hope, Struggle and Change: The songs of Roy Zimmerman--A benefit for Health Care for All-Marin
The incomparable Roy Zimmerman*, acoustic guitar sensation and brilliant lyricist, entertains and inspires with original songs of social justice informed by cross-country travels and reflection on the quirks of American politics and culture. Mischievous, hilarious, wise and poignant, Zimmerman draws audiences in, leaving them laughing, weeping and shaking their heads. He has recorded 12 albums in 20 years of songwriting and performing.
This concert benefits the Marin County chapter of Health Care for All-California, a volunteer non-profit dedicated to building public support for single-payer universal health care in California. HCA-Marin leaders will give concert-goers an overview of how public financing of health care, as embodied in S.B. 810 (Leno), would save money for individuals, businesses and taxpayers, and guarantee affordable access to ongoing comprehensive health care for all California residents.
