BACKGROUND
Transmission was first introduced in 1974, by British writer and esotericist Benjamin Creme, author of Transmission Meditation: A Meditation for the New Age. By way of telepathic rapport with one of the Masters of Wisdom, Creme received guidance to begin the first Transmission group in London which continues to meet three times a week to this day. Giving talks and lectures for over thirty years, Creme has inspired people to start Transmission groups worldwide.
According to Creme, Transmission was created as a way for ordinary people to participate in the planetary transition out of the Piscean Age and into the Aquarian Age. Specifically, the meditation facilitates the externalization into the modern world of the elders of humanity, known as the Masters of Wisdom and led by Maitreya the World Teacher. For eons, Maitreya and the Masters worked ceaselessly behind the scenes, guiding the evolution of humanity. Today, they are in the midst of emerging onto the physical plane, prepared to fulfill their mission by working directly with humanity itself. Transmission is an integral part of humanity's plan of evolution.
