Join us for an evening with Emmy award winning actor and comedian, Louie Anderson, as he supports Metro Deaf School. Minnesota native Louie Anderson is one of the country's most recognized and adored comics; named by Comedy Central as One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time. His career has spanned more than 30 years. He is a best selling author, star of his own stand-up specials and sitcoms, and most recently known for playing Christine Baskets in the hit FX series, Baskets.
Our host for this very special event will be Jason Matheson. Host of Jason & Alexis in the Morning on MyTalk 107.1 and host of The Jason Show on KMSP-TV.
This exciting and unique event will be held at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley. The evening will begin with an opportunity to sample food from several different local restaurants followed by an up close and personal performance by Louie himself. All proceeds will benefit Metro Deaf School and its specialized programming.
Metro Deaf School is a free public charter school serving approximately 100 Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard-of-hearing students from 3-21 years old. While the school is located in Saint Paul, it serves all of the metro area including western Wisconsin. Metro Deaf School promotes academic excellence through a bilingual and interdisciplinary curriculum using American Sign Language and English. Their mission is to empower their students to develop the skills and knowledge to succeed as global citizens.
