| Description |
Whisperings Solo Piano Radio live in concert! Join David Lanz, David Nevue, and Scott D. Davis for an enchanting and lively evening of solo piano performance, storytelling, and humor.
DAVID LANZ Playing the piano, Lanz says, is his greatest form of self- expression, especially at his concert performances where he effortlessly blends his emotionally affecting music ("a gift to the soul" wrote one reviewer) with audience involvement and his own charming comic take on life.
Lanz's solo recordings include the landmark CRISTOFORI'S DREAM, which was Number One on Billboard's first adult alternative/new age chart for 27 weeks and eventually sold platinum. All in all he has released over 20 recordings and sold over 5 million records worldwide. The year 2000 brought David his first Grammy nomination.
Hal Leonard, Americas largest music publisher, has released a dozen songbooks of his music. The most fulfilling thing by far, David says, is meeting young musicians who get excited about making music by hearing and playing my own. I think back to how important my influences were as a kid, and I feel blessed to play that role for others." Find out more at www.DavidLanz.com
DAVID NEVUE Nevue is a self-taught pianist from Springfield, Oregon, who cites a variety of musical influences including George Winston, Chopin and the progressive rock band Rush. David recorded his first album of piano works in 1991 and has since released eight more CDs, including "Overcome," which was named the "Best Instrumental Piano Album of 2005" by the LifeStyle Music Awards. SCOTT D. DAVIS Davis has been referred to as the rocker of new age/contemporary classical music. Perhaps New Age Reporter best described him by saying "his exuberance and originality are invigorating and his upbeat attitude contagious." In addition to to recording his own vibrant piano music, Scott had recorded two solo piano rock tribute albums; "Rockfluence" (an eclectic mix that includes piano renditions of songs by Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, Linkin Park, and others), and "Pianotarium", his piano tribute to the influential heavy metal group Metallica.
