Hell's Half Mile - Brothers on the Line
A vital local history given the proper film treatment it deserves, the story of the 1936-1937 Flint Sit-Down Strike is told in this beautifully rendered documentary. The film covers not just the importance of the labor movement in terms of union organization and social justice but also chronicles the lives of those responsible, the Reuther brothers, Walter, Roy, and Victor, whose efforts forever transformed the social and economic landscape of America. Narrated by Martin Sheen, the film includes rare UAW archive footage.
