Guitar-ace John Scofield is back with new music from his latest release, Country For Old Men. His improvisational intuition masterfully reinterprets classic tunes by some of country music's most revered songwriters, from Dolly Parton to Merle Haggard. Scofield's career has included notable sideman stints with the Billy Cobham/George Duke Band, Miles Davis and a popular, groove-oriented collaboration with Medeski, Martin and Wood. Additionally, he has led his own stellar ensembles for over thirty-five years featuring the crème de la crème of the jazz world. This current group features longtime associates keyboardist Larry Goldings, drummer Bill Stewart and bassist Vicente Archer.
