STORYTELLERS

Stephanie Summerfield
Stephanie Summerville has performed her stories on The Moth main stage, The Moth Radio Hour, NPR and in various podcasts. One of her stories is featured in The New York Times Best Seller, The Moth: 50 True Stories. Steph is also a singer with The Secret City, an Obie Award-winning art salon held at Dixon Place.

Heres what shes proudest of: she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, the NY Shakespeare Festival Lab at The Public Theater, and she can sing from memory nearly every TV theme song from the 60s through the 80s.

Kate Tellers
Kate, hailed as a "storytelling guru" by the Wall Street Journal, is a writer, performer and teacher whose students range from fledgling eight-year-old stand-up comedians to Fortune 500 CEOs.

In 2007 she discovered The Moth and has been a part of it ever since as a Senior Producer, regular StorySLAM host and storyteller featured on the Moth Radio Hour. She is currently working on a collection of essays about falling apart tentatively titled, We Always Knew You Would Be OK. She lives in Brooklyn with her furry husband, baby and dog.

Mark Pagán

Mark is an award-winning comedic storyteller, filmmaker, and writer. A Moth Storyslam winner, his work and performances have been shown at festivals and shows worldwide including Slamdance Film Festival, Arizona International Film Festival, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Charleston Comedy Festival, RISK!, The Moth, Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Story Collider, Peoples Improv Theater, and Magnet Theater. This winter, he wrapped up a year of festival performances of his acclaimed solo show, Peach Fuzzy.

Through his monthly newsletter ManKind, hes currently producing short films and audio stories revealing secret male rituals. He lives in Brooklyn with, regrettably, no dog.

MUSICIANS:
Cynthia Kaplan and The Cynthia Kaplan Ordeal

Cynthia is a wildly funny and talented singer. Time Out New York says:  "If you're lucky, Kaplan will sing and play guitar, and then you'll laugh until you can't breathe."

Her original songs have won international contests and her band, The Cynthia Kaplan Ordeal, has played in rock clubs around the country. Her latest music video, We Were the Donner Party, is currently appearing in comedy shorts festivals. As if that werent enough, she is also the author of two acclaimed collections of comic essays, Why Im Like This: True Stories and Leave the Building Quickly.
