This annual Christmas concert, co-sponsored by the Berea College Music Program and the Campus Christian Center, will be held on two successive nights Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3. Both performances will begin at 8:00 p.m. in Phelps Stokes Chapel on the Berea College campus.|
The concerts this year are being recorded for broadcast on Christmas Eve by CBS-TV affiliates nationwide. All are invited to attend this popular event and to join in the singing of traditional carols accompanied by College Organist Dr. Javier Clavere. Music of the season will be performed by the college's Black Music Ensemble, Bluegrass Music Ensemble, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Women's Chorus. Plan to attend this special Christmas celebration to usher in Berea's Christmas Season!
Although admission is free, TICKETS ARE REQUIRED due to limited seating. When placing your ticket request, note that we are offering two seating options for each night - main floor or balcony. For more information contact Marsha Elliott at 859-985-3134.
Due to the recording of the event, no children under 8 years of age will be allowed at the evening concerts. However, a kid-friendly performance open to families is scheduled during the open dress rehearsal from 3:30-5:30p.m. on Friday, December 2, for which tickets are NOT required.
Enter Phelps Stoke through the front door on Chestnut Street; accessible entrance on the Campus Drive/Traylor Art Building side of the Chapel.
Due to the recording of the event, movement during the concert performances will be restricted. There will be specific times that the audience will be allowed to leave their seats.
Note that on Saturday night, the City of Berea holds their Christmas Parade. That event typically ends around 7:00p.m. Please plan accordingly.
