Vocal Development through the Feldenkrais Method: A Two Day Workshop with Richard Corbeil, Feldenkrais Trainer. Sat 12/1 & Sun. 12/2, 10am-5pm
Richard presents an innovative learning process that explores the movements and sounds of infancy that initiated our current vocal abilities, and suggests ways to utilize them to further the natural development of our voice, recover from vocal fatigue, avoid injury, or regain lost vocal function.
The process leads to:
A healthy foundation for extensive speaking & singing A internal understanding of holistic vocal functioning Unique resources to overcome speech or breathing difficulties An extraordinary way of improving our image and self-confidence
This workshop is open to anyone who has an interest in breathing, voice, self-discovery and personal growth, and will run 10am to 5pm both days.
Richard is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Trainer with an extensive background in music performance and education, as well as clinical rehabilitation. He has been doing considerable work in physical rehabilitation clinics, Feldenkrais professional training programs and voice seminars in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia, thereby contributing his unique understanding of breathing and voice to the fields of personal growth, health and the performing arts. He is Educational Director of the Seattle Eastside Feldenkrais Teachers Training programs in WA, and maintains a private practice in the greater Seattle area.
