THREE TALL PINES is an award-winning quartet, playing bluegrass and Americana from the heart of New England. Though their faces are young, the group's timeless originals and interpretations of traditional songs persuade listeners that bygone eras were just a short while ago. Impressive instrumentalists in their own right, they transcend their diverse musical backgrounds to achieve soulful harmonies and sensitive performances that draw audiences in and leave plenty of space for the story to shine through. Performer Magazine calls Three Tall Pines "bluegrass at its best." This Boston-based bluegrass and Americana band is rooted in tradition yet offers audiences award-winning original songs, innovative arrangements on traditional songs, and strong harmonies backed by the raw feelings of early American rural life that appeal to a wide range of audiences. The band recently released a new record entitled "All That's Left" to critical acclaim. Come see why Three Tall Pines won the 2011 Motif Arts Magazine Award for Best Bluegrass Band, and the 2011 Band Competition at the Ossipee Valley Bluegrass Festival.
ACOUSTICANA's name says it all. The band plays American roots music on acoustic instruments. Bluegrass, Tex-Mex, folk, country, gospel, Cajun - it's all here, respectfully informed by soul, blues, rock, pop, world music, and other contemporary influences. Great music has always been about creating new and original expressions, not simply repeating the voices of the past as perfectly as possible. That's what we do, we take from the old and make something new. New music with an old feel.
