Are you ready for the TRUE SOUNDS experience??
August 24, 2012, Los Angeles, CA - While there may be many producer showcases, none have the prestige and admiration as Dae One's LNS Entertainment & Project Live TRUE SOUNDS Producer Showcase. This year on September 9th, 2012 at the Busby's East in Los Angeles, CA, the TRUE SOUNDS Producer Showcase, will feature the year's most recognizable music producers as well as honoring industry legend DJ Quik. With a lineup that sounds more like a Grammy's roll call, this year's timed sets include Focus...,Terrace Martin, 1500 or Nothing, the Futuristiks, Rick Rock, Willie B. & Tae Beast of TDE, Jansport J and many more.
So what is the TRUE SOUNDS producer showcase? This is an upscale and exclusive awards ceremony and producers showcase designed to engage music producers, music artists, celebrities, stylists, industry power players, tastemakers and influencers. Each hand selected act is asked to perform a timed set. No rappers, dancers, gimmicks, or ploys allowed. Just beat makers, the crowd and the music! This is not a beat battle but an event to recognize, introduce and honor music producers.
Similar to the anticipation of a sports draft, music producers wait eagerly to see where they placed on the coveted TRUE SOUNDS roster. The acts are placed in categories based on recognition and placements. The categories are Active Players, 1st Round Draft, and Rookie of the Year. Past honorees Battlecat and DJ Khalil will also be inducted to the Hall of Fame.
This year, we have teamed up with Native Instruments in hosting a TRUE SOUNDS Favorite Producer Poll Contest. The winner of the Active Players and 1st Round Draft categories will be awarded with new equipment priced at over $500. Early Bird tickets are available for $10 (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/266661) until September 1st, 2012. Afterward, the tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door.
