The Pack a.d., L'Assassins and Topanga
The Pack a.d., a Canadian duo made up of Becky Black and Maya Miller from Vancouver, is bringing punk back. The Pack released their fourth full-length Unpersons, named after George Orwell's term for those unworthy of standard society, in 2011. The Pack a.d. rocks an untamed, raw sound with a seriously punk attitude.
Self-described post-apocalyptic vixen rock, L'Assassins blew up the Twin Cities music scene with the release of their single "Backseat Bomp" earlier this year. This lady-laced quartet has '60s throwback style with an irreverent brashness and a refusal to follow the rules.
Topanga is a pop-punk-laden four-piece from Toronto. Topanga released an infectious EP earlier this year produced by Jon Drew (Tokyo Police Club).
