Yarn/Wire (two percussionists, two pianos) and the S.E.M. Ensemble present an evening of premieres by emerging composers. Yarn/Wire will perform Natacha Diels’s new work and join forces with SEM for LA-based composer Michael Winter’s half-normal. David Kant’s Composed Listening was written for SEM, while New York-based, 2012 Gugghenheim Fellows Alex Mincek and Kate Soper (from Wet Ink Ensemble) have composed works for percussionist Ian Antonio (of Yarn/Wire). Soper will join Antonio in the performance of her duo for voice and percussion
