The Black History Project is designed to pay homage to African American history and pioneers as well as honor current outstanding African Americans in the community through music. This year Brave New World is pleased to honor the CEO of the Jimi Hendrix Foundation, Jimmy Williams, author Charles R. Cross, founder of the Mimms Academy, Dr. Maxine Mimms, and CEO/publisher of MUSICA, and head of community affairs for ClearChannel Communications (Seattle), Tony Benton.
The event itself is an all ages two hour show featuring international recording artist, CEO of Brave New World, founder of the Brave Foundation, and spokesperson for the Jimi Hendrix Foundation, Shyan Selah.
