Pie Making Class at David Burke's Primehouse
No holiday meal is complete without dessert and for those on the go, David Burke's Primehouse is making it easy as pie to pick-up a selection of ready-made, gourmet petite pies. This holiday season, Executive Pastry Chef Amanda Warren is bringing back the popular Holiday Pie Pop-Up Shop, and kicking it off with a special hands-on cooking experience.
Chicagoans can pick-up freshly baked pies every Friday from 3 to 6pm beginning November 18 through December 30. Chef Warren will be preparing petite pies and dipping sauce with a different flavor each week representing the best of the season such as apple, chocolate, pecan or pumpkin. The pies are available 2 for $5 or a dozen for $30 and served in a collectible Primehouse tin.
The Pie Pop-Up Shop will kick off with a special pie making class on Saturday, November 19 from 1 to 3pm for $65 per person. Taught by the Primehouse pastry team, guests will receive a hands-on kitchen experience including learning how to make dough, creating pie filling and making cream cheese sauce for dipping. All guests will be treated to complimentary sparkling cider and will take home a tin of a dozen hand pies.
