DocForest 2012
September 14-16
The Seattle Documentary Association (SeaDoc) presents its annual filmmakers' retreat, DocForest, this September 14-16 at the Kitsap Forest Theater. The weekend is filled with informal workshops, films, camaraderie, bonfires, and great food (and we mean GREAT FOOD).
Join us as we deconstruct documentary storytelling from "finding your visual story" to "weaving together your story's soundscape". We're thrilled that veteran doc filmmaker and video artist Sandy Cioffi will be our featured speaker. As well as being a filmmaker Sandy also is a professor at Seattle Central Community College's Film and Video Program. More workshops will be announced on the SeaDoc Facebook Page.
The retreat begins with Happy Hour on Friday night and ends on Sunday at 1pm. All meals will be provided. Bring a sleeping bag and stay at the bunkhouse, pitch a tent, or find a place to stay nearby at Silverdale or Bremerton. While rustic there are showers and bathrooms unless you are keen to try out the WWII pit toilets.
DocForest is a not-to-miss opportunity to network, share your own projects and recharge your creative juju!
